With an ever growing number of homeless people in Frankston, Donation Chain is working towards assisting the homeless population find basic hygiene needs. We believe everybody deserves to have a shower and keep themselves clean.
We provide Hygiene Packs for the Homeless. All items are donated by members of the community, then sorted & packed by volunteers at our monthly working bee. They are then delivered to individuals and to community organisations who work with the same clientele.
There is no singular definition of ‘homelessness’, however it does not mean ‘rooflessness’. Donation Chain recognises the underlying problems that can lead to somebody being homeless.
Put yourself in the shoes of a homeless person. Many of these people are stuck in their situation as a result of mental health issues or domestic violance – it is to everybody’s benefit that we assist these people for the betterment of society.
